The US military has attacked a fuel terminal in Yemen's Red Sea port of Ras Isa, targeting the Iran-backed Houthi rebels. The aim was to restrict supplies and funds for the Houthis, who have been attacking commercial ships in the Red Sea since the Israel-Gaza war began in October 2023. According to the Houthis, at least 33 people were killed in the attack, including paramedics. The US has stepped up its attacks on Houthi targets in Yemen over the past month.

US air strikes on a Yemen oil terminal controlled by the Houthi movement have killed at least 58 people and wounded 126 others. The US military said the attack aimed to restrict supplies and funds for the Iran-backed Houthis, calling it a necessary measure to "degrade the economic source of power of the Houthis". The Houthi-led government claimed the terminal was a civilian facility, condemning the attack as a "full-fledged war crime". The incident is one of the deadliest since President Donald Trump ordered intensified US bombing campaigns in response to Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping. Iran's foreign ministry strongly condemned the strikes, calling them "barbaric". The Houthis have been involved in a civil war in Yemen since 2014, and have targeted dozens of merchant vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

The Taliban seized around one million weapons and pieces of military equipment, mostly funded by the US, when it regained control of Afghanistan in 2021. Sources tell the BBC that at least half a million of these items are now "unaccounted" for, with some believed to have been sold or smuggled to militant groups, including al-Qaeda affiliates. The Taliban has rejected claims of smuggling or loss, but a 2023 UN report stated that local commanders affiliated with the Taliban were allowed to retain 20% of seized US weapons, and that a thriving black market existed as a result. The US had previously claimed that equipment left behind was disabled, but the Taliban has since built a capable military using US weapons.

US airstrikes on the Ras Isa oil port held by Yemen's Houthi rebels killed 58 people and wounded 126 others, according to the Houthis. The strike, which the US said was aimed at depriving the rebels of a source of fuel and revenue, represented a major escalation of the US campaign against the Houthis. The US Central Command said the strike was not intended to harm the people of Yemen, but the Houthis and Iran denounced the attack as a violation of Yemen's sovereignty. The US also accused a Chinese satellite company of directly supporting Houthi attacks, which China did not immediately acknowledge. The airstrikes are part of a new US campaign against the Houthis, which appears to be more extensive than the previous one under former President Joe Biden.

US airstrikes on an oil port in western Yemen have killed at least 38 people, mostly workers, and injured 102 others, according to Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV. The strikes on Ras Isa fuel port in Hodeidah province were aimed at cutting off revenue to the Houthis, the US Central Command said. The US has escalated its aerial military campaign against the Iranian-backed Houthis since mid-March, targeting oil refineries, airports, and missile sites, in an effort to stop them from targeting shipping in the Red Sea. The Houthis have continued to launch missiles at Israel and disrupt shipping in the Red Sea in solidarity with Palestinians.

At least 38 people have been killed and 102 injured in US airstrikes on a fuel port in Yemen, according to Houthi-run media, in retaliation for Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping lanes, with the US stating the strikes will continue until the Houthis stop their attacks.

The US carried out airstrikes on a Yemeni port controlled by Houthi rebels, killing at least 38 people and injuring over 100, according to the Houthi-run health ministry. The strikes targeted the port of Ras Isa, a major fuel depot, in an effort to degrade the Houthis and deprive them of revenue. The Houthis have been attacking ships in the Red Sea and firing rockets and drones at Israel in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. Despite the strikes, the Houthis vowed to continue attacking until Israel ends its military offensive in Gaza, and experts warned that the strikes could worsen Yemen's dire humanitarian crisis.

An Israeli airstrike killed 10 members of the same family, including five children, in Khan Younis, Gaza, with the victims suffering severe burns. The strike was part of a series of overnight airstrikes that killed at least 23 people. The UN has raised concerns over a worsening humanitarian crisis, with most of Gaza's 2 million population relying on charity kitchens for one meal a day, and aid being limited due to rising prices and restricted access. Israel's defense minister stated that preventing humanitarian aid is a "central pressure tactic" against Hamas, which Israel accuses of diverting aid. The conflict has killed over 51,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and displaced 90% of the population.

Hamas has formally rejected Israel's latest ceasefire offer, which involved a 45-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of 10 hostages. Hamas' chief negotiator stated that they are prepared to negotiate a deal for the release of all remaining hostages in return for an end to the war and the release of Palestinian prisoners, but rejected "partial deals" that serve Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's agenda. The war has killed at least 51,065 people in Gaza and 1,200 in Israel, with 59 hostages remaining in captivity, and aid groups warning of a "total collapse" of the humanitarian aid system in Gaza.

Hamas has rejected Israel's latest ceasefire proposal, which included a 45-day ceasefire and the return of humanitarian aid in exchange for 11 hostages and Hamas disarming. Hamas leader Abu Zuhri stated that disarming is a "million red lines" and not subject to consideration. The proposal's failure was not a surprise to mediators, who were skeptical due to the lack of withdrawal terms and Hamas being asked to relinquish its arms. Israel has continued to advance in Gaza, capturing more territory and creating a buffer zone, with the goal of exerting pressure on Hamas to release the remaining hostages.

A Sky News investigation has revealed new evidence contradicting Israel's official account of the killing of 15 aid workers on March 15. The aid workers, including a UN employee, eight paramedics from Palestine Red Crescent Society, and six first responders from Civil Defence, were unarmed and were on a rescue mission when they were attacked by Israeli troops. Videos found on the phone of paramedic Rifaat Radwan, one of the victims, show the chaos and terror of the attack, with Israeli troops firing at the medics for over five minutes. New audio obtained by Sky News reveals that the shooting continued for some time after the initial attack, with paramedic Ashraf Abu Labda heard reciting the Shahada as heavy gunfire continued in the background. Another paramedic, Assad al Nsasrah, was alive as late as 5.54am and was on the phone with the dispatch centre, saying he was scared and asking for help, before being arrested by Israeli soldiers. Israel has denied wrongdoing, claiming its troops suspected the vehicles contained Hamas operatives, but Sky News found no evidence to support this claim.
