Eight people have been found guilty of robbing US reality TV star Kim Kardashian at gunpoint of $10m worth of jewellery in Paris in 2016. Four defendants, aged between 35 and 71, were sentenced to up to eight years in prison, mostly suspended, and will not return to prison due to time served. Kardashian had testified in court that the robbery was "the most terrifying experience of my life" and said she forgave one of the defendants, Aomar Ait Khedache, after receiving a letter of apology from him. The defendants were dubbed the "Grandpa robbers" by French media due to their age, but prosecutors described them as "seasoned robbers".

Eight people were found guilty of robbing Kim Kardashian in Paris in 2016, with the ringleader, Aomar Aït Khedache, receiving an eight-year sentence, five of which were suspended. The court acquitted two defendants accused of providing information about Kardashian's whereabouts. Due to time served and their ages, ranging from 35 to 79, none of the convicted individuals will return to prison. The robbers, known as "les papys braqueurs" or "Grandpa robbers," had targeted Kardashian during Paris Fashion Week, binding her with zip ties and duct tape, and stealing millions of dollars' worth of jewelry. Kardashian had testified that she believed she was going to be "raped and killed" during the ordeal. The defendants apologized to Kardashian and the court before their sentencing, with Khedache offering "a thousand apologies."

Eight people, known as the "Grandpa Robbers" due to their advanced age, have been found guilty of crimes connected to the 2016 robbery of Kim Kardashian at a Paris hotel. The group, who wore ski masks and disguised themselves as police, stole jewelry worth an estimated $6m, including a ring given to Kardashian by her then-husband Kanye West. Kardashian was bound with zip-ties and left in the bathtub, and told the court she thought she would be raped and killed during the "terrifying" ordeal. The court handed down sentences ranging from prison terms to a fine, but with time already served, none of the convicted will go to jail. The ringleader, 69-year-old Aomar Ait Khedache, was sentenced to eight years imprisonment, with five suspended.
